Saint Patrick Parade in Columbus 2011





 The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade was set for Thursday, March 17 in downtown Columbus.

The parade was form between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at Nationwide Boulevard & John C. McConnell Blvd. Marching bands, Irish civic groups and businesses fielded entries in the parade, passing out candy to children along the parade route.
With about 126 marching units, this was the largest Columbus St. Patrick's parade to date, according to the Shamrock Club of Columbus, which sponsored the parade and is celebrating its 75th year of spreading a love of Irish culture. 

The first parade was started in 1936
